Working dogs (prime US Government contract) – Iraq

Babylon Gates committed to mobilise 40 dog teams certified to US military standards within 26 days. It succeeded. The contract has been extended twice and the input from the K9i consultants has resulted in an exemplary service record.

Road building (prime US Government contract) – Iraq

Babylon Gates committed to constructing a road as part of a multiple award win. Of the 5 contracts let concurrently, Babylon Gates had completed their contract (a 180 day project) ahead of schedule, and was the only contractor to complete its task for which the US Army Corps of Engineers recommendation has benchmarked the performance.

Business implementation - Iraq

An international trading company with a prime US Government contract approached Babylon Gates. The company did not have any presence on the ground and could not attend the post award briefing. It required approximately $10m letter of credit to be established with “red line” clauses. Babylon Gates attended the meetings, explained to the US government why the project would start late, briefed the client, negotiated and arranged the letter of credit with the Trade Bank of Iraq, and the trading company was able to proceed with its contract.

Project implementation – Iraq

An international security company had the mandate to secure the men and materials for a foreign trading house on an infrastructure project in Iraq. The security company did not have a presence in Iraq. Babylon Gates in Iraq supplied accommodation and office services for the security company in Baghdad. The foreign trading company was unable to commence the project due to bureaucracy. Babylon Gates opened doors, and the project commenced and is now running successfully.

Project Study – Jordan

An international consulting organisation, not represented in Jordan, required information on whether a proposed Jordanian private company might be a good teaming partner for a large Jordanian PLC tender. Alfagates was able to assemble the information required, ascertain the budget allocated to the project by the Jordanian PLC, identify the reasons for the tender, assemble a team and assist the international consulting organisation in its market entry, and bid strategy.
